Sunkissed Style

It was our first trip to Marco Island, and we soaked up every bit of it. It was definitely and outdoor community. Instead of backyards, there were canals of bright blue ocean water; instead of workout centers, there are people running and walking the beach daily; and instead of big long parkas and boots, it's dewy skin, bright bikini's and lightweight ensembles. All of the outfits i felt the need to incorporate my favorite coral sequin bikini. The Candies sheer black lace crop above was perfect to peek-a-boo the shimmer through, and easy to toss on over a suit to walk around.
Beach hair doesn't necessarily mean jumping in the water, and letting it air dry. If you want a flirty style that does not look too tampered with...try curling hair in 2-inch sections, and then brushing it all out for a soft flowy feel. The necklace shown is a great accent piece from H&M, that is over-sized and perfect with such a simple outfit. It has a small floral pattern and can really draw attention to the face.
Waking up to an incredible view of the Gulf coast, it's hard not to wanna throw on cute sundress and rush down to enjoy it. My sister and I endured every moment of this gorgeous island and made sure to capture the style this community weathered.
Waking up to an incredible view of the Gulf coast, it's hard not to wanna throw on cute sundress and rush down to enjoy it. My sister and I endured every moment of this gorgeous island and made sure to capture the style this community weathered. The dress featured here is a lightweight over-sized sundress that we cinched with a neutral belt and fun beachy accessories. Giving off the boho look with a necklace wrapped several times and used as an anklet, a sparkly pink hippie-band, and some printed waffers to feel free and flirty.
One of the biggest trend in not only fashion on this island, but also home decor and restaurant decor was animal print. Every store we went into featured animal print for decorations, swimwear, art, wallpaper, shoes, bags, and clothes. It was exciting to see that a normally risque skirt back in Wisconsin, was able to be worn to freely down South. She fit right in with the local fun styles. Paired with a bright top and the infamous peek of sequin, it was sassy and sun capturing. This trip really helped bring a bit of inspiration to what was really feeling like a slump. All the snow, and frigid temperatures up North was refueled in my mind by a few days in 70 degree weather and bright blue waters :-)

Velvet Heels

City Chic? I'd say sooo. I think this outfit is my new go-to professional. The boots I traveled to 3 different Charlotte Russe stores to find, the accordion skirt is Fall collection at Target, and the chiffon t-shirt top is Forever 21. These boots are going to be great this season. They're heel isn't too high, allowing for a comfier day, and their texture is a soft velvet.

Pretty In The Park

Taking a stroll amongst one of Milwaukee's many parks; I put Amber in a baby doll floral dress in shades of blue and corals. These colors are subtly a pop in this type season when everyone thinks they need to lean more towards burgundy's, military greens, and blacks. We paired it with a pair of navy maryjanes and a brown studded faux-leather vest.
It's that pretty pattern that can put a smile on your face and bring out your flirty personality throughout the whole day! Adding pops of color in jewelry is my favorite punch! I went straight for turquoise...its bright, but still classy. A vintage inspired pinkie ring with a subtle stone dressed up one hand, and a large oval shaped turquoise stone added a main statement on the other. Then I added my FAVORITE chain draped necklace to bring attention close to the face.
This may not be your everyday style, but it works great for a night transition. Start the day with these amazing high-wasted liquid leggings, crop top and a sweater, paired with ballet flats; and transform it by adding a comfy pair of black Wedges. Add an over-sized hobo bag, an this look is great for an edgy feel!

*Essential Thigh-highs for Fall*

Taking that transition into Fall doesn't have to be uncomfortable. You don't have to sit in your closet and wonder if your going to be too hot from wearing pants, or too cold from wearing shorts. Thigh-high stockings are great for this dilemma, and offer that extra bit of chic comfort.
Thigh-high stockings come in all styles and fabrics...Opaque colors, patterns, and fishnets for dressing up Fall sweater dresses and the go-to black ensembles. In order to ensure an everyday look that's cute, try legwarmers or thigh-high socks with bow accents and throw on some boots!
Once again I slid this gold plated necklace, Vera Wang, into an everyday look. I get so many compliments on it. The jean jacket tones down the glitz an ads for a rough edge.
Under the edgy denim jacket, I turned a black knit dress into a day-time, night-time look that can be transformed with a pair of sky high black wedges and our patterned thigh-highs. I recently purchased these wedges for $15 at Wetseal to accompany my birthday dress an couldn't believe the comfort!! I felt like Lady Gaga and now can't stop pairing them with everything. They aren't too dressy to wear with a pair of skinny jeans, but they also aren't too casual to wear with an outfit like this! This, I promise won't be the last time I use these in my styling :-)

Lakeshore Layers, Boots, and Bombshells

Accessories, Accessories, Accessories!!! Did i mention Accessories?? I'm so in love with piling on necklace after necklace and bangle after bangle. Although in this shoot we paired it all with a fantastic fall printed blouse, jewelry can dress up even the most simplistic pair of jeans and a tee.
Pulling together high-wasted sailor shorts, this sheer printed blouse and classic cowgirl boots has Boho written all over it. It's a little bit of everything and can really show off a fun personality. It was such a great Fall day at Atwater beach that I were feeling inspiration through everything. The water was bright blue, the grass dewy and green...not even a cloud in the sky. It just felt right to throw on such a bright ensemble.
Im obsessed with my recent purchase of the gold plated necklace from Kohl's Department Store for close to nothing, and layered an assortment of Sarah's bangles to give that "free and fun" feeling. The boots were found at a second hand store and are the hit of the season. Although every store is showing boots, that doesn't mean you need every style. These cowgirl boots work with dresses, shorts, skinny's, an even skirts! Get creative with it!
Right in the heart of downtown is another body of water, the Milwaukee River. It features restaurants, tours, walk/run paths, and even party cruises; I've got memories from them all. No matter where you are in the city, your always no further than 3 blocks from the river...This chunky knit sweater is a key element for the Fall and a key element for a nice stroll by the river on a crisp day. It can be thrown on over anything...
I love the neutral colors in this palate. Not everything needs a pop of color. The warm tones of browns, creams, and plums in the boho inspired dress give it a real cozy but chic feel. Adding the trendier cowgirl style boot and once again numerous bangles and leather cuffs add to the look.
Milwaukee Mirror-- A Look At City Style And Fashion
Milwaukee is a city with a little bit of everything. I had the opportunity to spend 4 years of college here and developed some of the best memories. These memories wouldn't have been occurred if it weren't for a close knit group of southern Wisconsin girls. We all made the venture to college on our own and somehow, through our unique personalities, styles, and goals formed one of the best groups of friends possible. I would like to thank them for many of the inspirational styles I create and the journeys we've taken together
Being in the city, there's all different walks of life. You can't be scared to experiment with your style. This look is vintage inspired, and represented in the 5th Ward of downtown Milwaukee. By taking a classic pair of black shorts with an attached bow-tie belt and layering different forms of lace on top it gives off a sexy, but classic look. To glam it up, I added a vintage double knuckle ring with a precious rose detail and a few layered pearl necklaces. Then all you need is to top it off with an everyday fedora and over the knee suede boots. Over 5 different materials and layers upon layers gives off this unique style to make you stand out in vintage glam.

The infamous park within a city...among a great lake. True city life calls for trendy but realistic. Trendy being the reverse deep-v dress, and realistic being the flat all season boots. There's two ways to go about it in the morning. Do you choose the cute tailored jeans and heels, or throw on a dress and not worry about your feet all day by slipping into boots. They both work and both are effortless. We went for the dress, being as its fall and I cant come to reality with the fact that snow is right around the corner...I know in Wisconsin our winter gets longer every year! So taking as many opportunities for a lightweight patterned dress with a little bit of flirtation in the back; paired with one of this seasons biggest trends--knee highs or thigh high tights and socks, you'll feel comfortable an look great.
